Lots to Share

Evening all and apologies for not posting in nearly a month! No excuses either...I have been meaning to post for ages but I just keep putting it off. Decided tonight that I really needed to do it as the layouts I wanted to share with you were starting to gather dust where they have been sitting on the side in the craft room waiting to be photograped.

I will start with a little catch up...its been a lovely few weeks here for us. Nothing major has happened, we have just had a nice few weekends chilling out and pottering about doing odds and ends. We have updated our little bit of outside space, gone are the cracked, split and dirty looking old pots and in their place are lovely looking, neat and tidy borders. It was a fairly easy transition, it just needed several trips to B&Q for more plants to fill the gaps and make everything look nice and lush. So far all the plants seem to have settled in well, some have even started to blossom and bloom which is adding a lovely splash of colour. Even with all the new plants my favourite is still my jasmine - its beautiful perfume reminds me of holidays to Spain where it grows in abundance and its scent hangs heavily in the night air. Next time I blog I will try to include some pictures of how its all looking, hopefully we will get some sun back soon so we can sit outside and enjoy it all.

The weekend before last was a Bank Holiday (just love that extra day off work), even better for me it was a Barry Manilow weekend!! I was lucky enough to get tickets to go and see two of his shows, one in Southampton with my gal pals Sally and Sharon and one at the O2 with Tom. Both shows were fabulous(despite the cold and rain in Southampton)and I have to say of all the times I have seen him these shows have to rank as a couple of the best. His Weekend in New England at the O2 was pitch perfect, so much so it gave me goosebumps and bought a tear to my eye. I know Bazza is not to everyones taste but he is a true showman and puts on a fantastic show for his adoring and ever faithful fans - I hope its not too long before he is back here entertaining us again. Just for fun I am sharing a pic from the show with you, this was taken while he was singing Copacabana - the one song that got just about everyone in the arena on their feet and dancing!!

I had a Kingshill crop this month that was fairly productive, think I managed about 6 or 7 layouts, 3 of which I am sharing with you..
Two of the pics from Vegas last year and one is of my sister and my nephew George. I cant remember exactly what papers I used for the layouts, think they were a mix of Studio Calico kits, Kaiserkraft and Bo Bunny papers. Finally I blow off the dust and put them away in their albums.

I dont seem to scrap much at home these days, Project Life is upto date and I try to make sure its done each week so I dont get behind. As I complete each week I try to prep my page for the following week so all I need to add are pictures and journalling. I am trying to push myself a little bit craft wise and try some different things, so I thought I would have another go at making some Vintage/Distressed tags. I am really pleased with the results, am loving using my Inkylicious ink dusters to layer and brush on colour...think there could be a lot more of these tags making an apperance over the coming weeks. Below are the ones I made this weekend.

I think thats about all my news for now, thanks so much for stopping by and having a read and a look. If you like what you see please feel free to leave me a comment. Its so nice to check up on my blog and read your lovely comments..makes it all seem worthwhile if you know what I mean.

Love and hugs, Jane

Your really creative at the moment and I love the idea of doing a bit of prep work for the next installement when doing PL.

I don't think it matters if you're a fan of Barry Manilow or not, he's a bit like Cliff Richard ... Putting on a good show is in their blood. He knows whT his fans want and he delivers. I'm so glad you got to see 2 of his shows
