Time Flies

Wow, its mid May already and I haven't blogged since Feb! It really doesn't seem like 3 months since I was knee deep in Valentines cards.....

Well what has been happening since my last post you may be asking?? Not much is the answer but I guess the most major event is that that after 10 and a bit years I have left my job with Cofely and headed to pastures new. I said good bye to the City and I am now back working on Canary Wharf, its actually a place that I thought I didn't like very much but I have to say I am enjoying a somewhat renewed love affair with it!! Anyway back in Jan/Feb of this year I was 'head-hunted' by a previous boss of mine to join him in his new venture. Its pretty much the same role/industry that I was previously in just on a much smaller and more personal scale this time. I am two weeks into the new role and so far I love it although its still pretty quiet as I haven't actually been able to get my teeth into the job yet, however I know this will change in the coming weeks so for now I am enjoying the calm before the storm as they say. Leaving my last job wasn't an easy decision to make but I know the time was right for me to move on. My colleagues gave me a fab send off with, we had leaving drinks, a lunch and I received some lovely gifts and a card from them all.

I am still very much involved with Stampin Up and I am quite excited about the up coming release of the new annual catalogue, there are some pretty gorgeous things about to come your way and I am really looking forward to getting my inky little fingers on some of the new papers and stamp sets. As a demonstrator I am lucky enough to be able to pre-order certain items, I got myself one stamp set and a couple of ink pads from the new in-colours range and I am hoping that I may get time to play with these at the weekend to see what I can create. As usual I will share with you pictures of my efforts!! If you are interested in receiving one of the new catalogues, or if you would like to see some of the products for real please either leave me a message or send me an email at janespinkpalace@aol.com and I will get back to you.

As well as the usual scrapbooking, Project Life-ing and card making that fills my spare time I have recently discovered a new crafting passion.....I am now addicted to making pretty little bits of costume jewellery using WOW Embossing Powders. I was shown how to do this by the very lovely Marion at Sugar and Spice Crafts. What started out as a little project proved to be a real hit, the rings and earrings are selling as fast as I make them, and I have now added flower and feather pendants to the range. I am hoping to be able to take some decent pictures of the items soon so I can upload them to here for you all to see, but for now there are plenty of pics taken on my trusty iPhone over on my Janes Cards and Creations Facebook page. Sadly for me though Marion is closing the Sugar and Spice doors very soon, its such a shame as its a beautiful little shop with the best customer service ever. I shall really miss going there to both shop, stroke stash and chat with the girls, but all good things come to an end and I really do wish Marion all the very best for the future. I know that with the wonders of modern technology we wont lose touch, plus I am going on the S&S retreat in October so that's certainly something to look forward too.

Well I will sign off from this post for now, apologies for not photos this time but I just wanted to get a little update on to let you know that I am still about.

As ever thanks for stopping by and I promise to be back soon.

Love and hugs...Jane xx
