Hello and welcome to another week, thankfully today is the last day of January! Slowly but surely we are working our way out of the depths of Winter and heading towards Spring, which ultimately leads to Summer - yay!!
I thought I would use this post to share my latest passion and venture with you. As I mentioned back in a previous post I signed up last year to become a consultant for a company called Scentsy. I have always loved having fragrance in my home and over the years I have used everything from potpourri to plug-ins, oils to reed diffusers and of course scented candles (which I will add I still have in those areas of my home where I cant have a electric warmer). I first heard of the Scentsy system a few years ago but I was reluctant to buy without first being able to try it out and actually look at and smell the products. I tried on several occasions to arrange a party but to no avail as there wasn't a consultant in my area. Anyway late last year to my delight I found out that a friend had signed up to be a consultant so I quickly set about popping round to see her to find out more about it. To cut a not so long story short I was instantly hooked and within a couple of weeks I was a consultant myself.
Scentsy is an American company based in Idaho and they are an International leader in home fragrance offering stylish and innovative products. Basically the warmers are wickless candles that use a low watt lightbulb or heating element to slowly melt wax cubes that fill your home with one or more of the 80+ fragrances. Because the wax is gently warmed rather than burned it can hold more fragrance oil than a traditional candle and because there is no flame there is no soot or smoke. Also if you have children or pets running around your home then these are perfect as there is no danger of fire or burnt fingers and paws. They are also low voltage so are safe to leave on while you are out, or overnight while you are sleeping.
The first warmer I got is called Flower Vine and I bought it for our bedroom as its one that has the bulb inside so it gives off a lovely glow, a little like a night light. It looks so pretty when its switched on, especially at night. One of my favorite scents for our room is called Jammy Time which is a mix of baby freesia, lavender and sweetpea - perfect for helping you to drift off to dreamland!!
I have since bought a few more warmers (the one below is called Etched Copper) and my plan is to eventually have one in every room with the exception of the bathroom as there is no plug socket there! I also have a whole load of the wax bars so I can change up my fragrance depending on my mood and what I fancy. Each wax bar consists of 8 cubes and you only need one cube of wax to scent a room. You can even mix cubes from different wax blocks to make your own custom blends.
If you would like to know more about Scentsy or receive a brochure please let me know, I would be more than happy to share more about it with you. You can also find me on Facebook - I am called Glowing Star Independent Scentsy Consultant, there is a direct link here. Alternatively you can take a look at the products online by going to my web page which you will find here.
Thanks for stopping by, I would love it if you could leave me a little comment below. Add a link to your blog too and I will pop by and say hello.
