I cant believe that I am writing this post, our Las Vegas holiday is now a dim and distant memory...all that time planning, saving and getting excited is over and we are now onto planning for the next trip which is currently set for 2015.
As most of you know we are pretty much Vegas veterans now, this was our 5th trip there and we just cant seem to get enough of it. Even though we have just come back I could quite happily hop on a plane and spend a few more days(weeks, months..ha, ha.I cant explain why or what it is that draws us back time after time, Vegas is just a very addictive place and has so much more to offer than just the gambling (although a flutter on the slots or tables has to be done).
This year we chose to stay in The Mirage, a hotel that we had never stayed in before...
We usually like to stay in Caesars but this time round it was far too expensive for us so we read the reviews for the hotels within our budget and picked the Mirage. We opted to upgrade our room and we went for a Resort Tower Deluxe Room which was on the 25th Floor of the hotel with a view of the Strip and the Pools. The room was lovely, it was clean, comfy and very well maintained and unlike the more basic rooms it had a bathroom with a seperate shower and a jacuzzi tub - something that is very much needed after a hard day walking the Strip or visiting the shops!!
We had a pretty relaxing trip this time round but we still did all the usual stuff we do when in Vegas. We shopped at the Outlet Village, at Caesars Forum (my most fave shopping mall in the world!!) and at some craft shops. We sat by the pool and drank cocktails and we had some fab meals, the best meal of the holiday being the one we had in Buddy V's which is located inside the Venetian and is run by the Cake Boss himself, Mr Buddy Valestro. The great man was even kind enough to come and pose for a photo with us...!!
We took a trip to the top of the Stratosphere this year, the views were pretty amazing and spectacular, you could see so far and it really made Vegas look quite small. We didn't do any of the roller coaster rides though, neither of us are big thrill seekers so we just enjoyed watching other people being swung off the top of the building. Other things we did this year included Freemont Street, Siegfried and Roy's Secret Gardens (where the Dolphin, Lions and White Tigers are) and the David Copperfield Magic show, oh and Tom got drunk one night, VERY drunk!!
So here we are back at home and back to normal with just our memories and pictures to keep us going until next time. I need to get some of the pictures printed off so I can scrap them and I also need to update Project Life. Its safe to say that as Winter starts to descend I will probably be spending a fair bit of time in my Craft room so watch this space as I will be sharing my creations with you.
Thanks for stopping and hope I havent bored you too much with all my talk of Vegas!! Please leave me a comment and a link to your blog (if you have one) and I will be sure to stop by and leave a comment for you.
Love and hugs..
Jane

Loved seeing the pictures, I remember going to Vegas when I was 17 ... And I couldn't even stand in the reception of the hotel because of the gambling and my age. But I do remember being in awe if the place. I remember seeing a seigfield & Roy show :) maybe we'll go and visit soon :)
